In fabulous like-new-condition, this fancy damaskeened, nickel, full plate movement is marked "Motor Barrel 940 Adjusted 5 Positions Double Roller." It features ruby jewels in screw down settings and a micro-metric regulator. The mint screw back and bezel case is engine turned and ornamented with leaf and flower patterns and an uninitialed oval frame. The double sunk original porcelain dial is very fine with Arabic chapters, spade pointers and red 5-minute numerals. $525.00

#2. 21 JEWEL HAMILTON GRADE 942 PRIVATE LABEL POCKET WATCH

18 Size 14K Gold Open-Face, Lever-Set, Railroad No. 186,401 Circa 1901 J. D.

Very rare and collectible, this hard-to-find Grade 942 movement is finished with spectacular damaskeening and gold lettering. It is signed "Chas. H. Bard Sedalia Mo." on the main plate. The double sunk porcelain dial is very fine and signed "Hamilton Watch Co." It is marked with Arabic chapters and red 5-minute marks. The very heavy double hinge back solid gold case is near mint with engine turnings on the back cover and a reeded rim. $1,225.00

#3. 21 JEWEL HAMILTON MINT GRADE 990 POCKET WATCH

In wonderful mint new/old stock condition, this screw back/bezel bar over crown case comes with a scalloped pattern along the outer edges and a ribbon script monogram which ornaments the back cover. The movement is wonderful and mint, it is fully damaskeened with ornate patterns and it features ruby jewels in gold settings. The movement is signed "21 Jewel 990 Double Roller Adjusted 5 Positions." The double sunk full Montgomery dial is in superb condition with spade pointers and the "Hamilton" signature at center. $475.00

#4. 22 JEWEL HAMILTON NEW/OLD STOCK 4992B POCKET WATCH

This spectacular unused 22 jewel movement is finished with straight line damaskeening. It is signed "U. S. Govt." It features a hack mechanism which stops the balance wheel so the center sweep second can be synchronized when the pendant is pulled out. The 24-hour dial is superb and marked "G. Circa T." White spade pointers and 24-hour numerals mark the dial. The mint condition case is engraved with serial numbers and contract numbers as well as the "Hamilton Watch Co." signature. Beautiful engine turnings, an uninitialed crest and leaf patterns ornament the covers of this near mint silver case. This rare like-new-condition high powered 23 jewel bridge movement is marked "Adjusted Temp & 6 Pos." It is finished with straight line damaskeening with straight line damaskeening. The bar over crown Hamilton railroad model case is mint with a light circular brushed finish on the back cover and a braided link design appearing along the outer edges. The porcelain dial is rare, double sunk and superb with the "Hamilton Railway Special" signature appearing at center. In spectacular condition, this motor barrel 950 bridge model carries a gold center wheel, a micro-metric regulator and straight line damaskeening. The movement is signed "Elinvar" on the pallet fork bridge. The screw back/bezel popular Model 2 case is in mint condition and plain polished on the back. The Montgomery dial was patented by Henry S. Montgomery who was a time inspector for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.

18 Size Rolled-Gold-Plate, Display Case Open-Face, Lever-Set, Railroad No. 642,666 Circa 1910 Adjusted 5 Positions R-4 J. D.

Ultra-rare, this spectacular full plate movement is signed "Official B of R. T. Standard Motor Barrel Adjusted 5 Positions Double Roller 999" on the main plate. Gold jewel settings, a jeweled motor barrel and a micro-metric regulator are features of this ultra high-grade railroad movement. It is beautifully preserved in a mint condition display case which has fancy star engraved patterns along the outer most edges. The dial is signed "B. of R. T. Standard" and is marked with Arabic hour chapters. This later period dial is in superb condition. $4,050.00

The Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen was initiated in June 1883 in Oneonta, New York. The railroad workers formed this association to provide death benefits to its members. The Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen also held strict rules of conduct to establish mutual confidence and harmonious relationships among the hard working rail workers. Signed Brotherhood railroad watches are extremely rare and collectible!

#13. 17 JEWEL ELGIN B. W. RAYMOND GRADE 370 POCKET WATCH

This collectible and rare Grade 370 movement is an early railroad model with a counterpoised pallet fork, spectacular damaskeening and gold jewel settings. The Grade 370 production was limited to 7,300 pieces. This fine example carries a very fine porcelain dial with Arabic chapters and black diamond patterns at the 5-minute positions. The screw back/bezel mint case is highly ornate with flowing leaf patterns, swirls, vertical stripes and an uninitialed triangular frame on the back cover. $325.00

#14. ELGIN RARE GRADE 274 POCKET WATCH WITH UNIQUE DIAL

21 Jewel 18 Size Coin Silver Open-Face, Lever-Set, No. 10,854,069 Circa 1903 Adjusted 5 Positions R-3 C. S.

This is an extremely interesting timepiece. The Grade 274 movement were limited to a total production of 4,000 pieces. This fine hunters case grade movement comes with ruby jewels in screw settings and a solid gold train. The movement has a rare and unique factory original double sunk Montgomery dial which has an offset seconds bit located at the 3 o'clock position, this allows the hunters case movement to instantly become an open face railroad style. The dial is extremely rare and complemented by blue spade hands. The heavy 4 oz. swing-out silver case is near mint and engraved with a circular wreath on the back cover and a O. R. Circa (Order of Railroad Conductors) monogram. $675.00

The screw back/bezel case is mint and signed "Elgin R R" below the winding crown. The porcelain dial comes with a 40-hour wind indicator at the 12 o'clock position and Arabic hour chapters. #16. 23 JEWEL ELGIN VERITAS POCKET WATCH WITH RARE FERGUSON DIAL

This ultra-rare very fine dial is signed "Ferguson Dial Patented For Elgin Watch" at center. The red Arabic hour numerals appear at the center part of the dial and large oversize 5-minute numerals mark the outer areas. A black minute track and blue spade pointers are also presented. The screw back/bezel case is plain polished and signed "Veritas Model E. N. W. Co." The case is in mint condition. The wonderful 23 jewel 3/4 plate movement is marked "Adjusted 5 Positions." L. B. Ferguson of Monroe Louisiana patented his unique style of dial on November 17, 1908. Original porcelain examples such as those presented in this collection are very rare and highly sought after.

This highly collectible 3-finger bridge movement comes with two-tone damaskeening. It is signed "Electric Railroad Standard" on the main plate, the Grade 185 Model 4 movement carries double swell blue spade pointers and a rare very fine double sunk dial. The dial is signed "Electric Railway Standard" and is marked with Arabic numerals, red 5-minute numerals and a black minute track. #26. 23 JEWEL WALTHAM VANGUARD UP/DOWN WIND INDICATOR POCKET WATCH WITH WONDERFUL LOCOMOTIVE CASE

A beautifully detailed locomotive and passenger cars appear on the back cover of this mint condition case. The case is engine turned in the background areas and beaded along the outer edges. It is signed "Cased & Timed At The Factory Waltham Watch Co." inside the back lid. The movement is extra-nice, it is signed "Lossier Inner Terminal Hairspring" on the ratchet wheel. It is finished with checkerboard damaskeening on the center bridge and is marked with golden lettering. The dial features a up/down indicator hand at the 12 o'clock position. Arabic chapters and black diamond designs mark this double sunk very fine dial. $2,050.00

Louis Lossier was a director of a watchmakers school in Geneva Switzerland. He published an article in 1890 which included patterns of hairsprings which satisfied Phillips isochronisms equation.

The case is in fabulous unused new/old stock condition with a brushed finish on the back cover and a reeded pattern along the outer edges. The dial is also extremely rare, it is signed "Waltham Non-Magnetic." A gold official R R Standard logo appears on the main plate and the mechanism comes with sapphire pallets. This interesting timepiece was one of a limited edition of 2,950 presented by the collectors classic edition society. It was to commemorate the Hamilton 992 in the classic bar over crown case with Montgomery dial. This timepiece has an enameled dial which is a Montgomery in superb condition and a bar over crown case which is unused. The movement is a 17 jewel manual wind adjusted to 2 positions with Incabloc balance. The original box and introduction paper work is presented with this new limited edition watch. $275.00

#32. BENEDICT & BURHAM CO. LONG WIND DUPLEX POCKET WATCH WITH ROTARY MOVEMENT

This rare Early American timepiece carries the original paper dial which is very fine with Arabic chapters. Blue steel hands center the six spoke center grid which allows a clear view of the rotary movement and the duplex escapement. The back cover of the near mint case is engine turned around a circular frame and an uninitialed crest. The long wind mainspring is covered by a pierced cap signed "Waterbury Watch Patented In The United States, Great Britain, Canada, France, etc." $1,425.00

#33. 15 JEWEL ROCKFORD EARLY KEYWIND POCKET WATCH

This wonderful American full plate movement is in extra-sharp condition. The gilt plates feature fifteen ruby jewels and a compensated balance with a keystone-shaped cutout appearing on the balance bridge. The dial is centered by blue tulip form hands. It is marked with Roman chapters and is very fine. The 3 oz. silver case is engraved with leaf patterns on the back cover, the case is excellent. $400.00

Gold flowers, crescent moon designs and green leaves form a Mosaic pattern around the center which is signed "American Waltham." The superb dial also comes with gold Louis XIV hands and a highly decorated subsidiary dial. The case is fabulous and unused with intertwined broad vine and leaf motifs being combined with background engine turnings. This adjusted P. S. Bartlett Model 83 movement is beautifully damaskeened with scallop designs. It features a micro-metric regulator and a compensated balance wheel. The dial is wonderful and rare, it features a colorful violet and blue floral bouquet to the left of center, the dial is signed "A. W. W. Co. Waltham" above the seconds bit. The dial is marked with Arabic hour chapters which are enhanced with gold rosettas and gold archways, gold minute dots appear on the outer edges along with a beautiful pink shade, the dial is very fine. The case is unused, it comes with wonderful lily-type flowers and Art Nouveau inspired flowing leaf patterns set against a sunburst background. A small crest appears on the front cover and a small country scene appears on the inner cuvette. A Christmas presentation from 1912 is engraved on the cuvette. $1,525.00

The mechanism is protected by a snap on inner cuvette and a screw back heavy case. The case has been engraved "U. S. Army" on the back cover and it is also engraved "Chronometer Watch." The original dial features a 48-hour indicator below the 12 o'clock position. The dial is superb with Arabic chapters, black spade pointers and a black minute track.
